Missions and Responsabilities

Health and Safety

  • Ensure strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements based on risk assessments, safety manuals, and compliance with WorkSafe BC regulations

  • Conduct and attend project Safety Orientations, ensuring all staff and visitors comply with safety protocols

  • Collaborate with the safety Advisor to establish Site Hazard Analysis before commencing works

  • Report accidents promptly to the HSE Advisor and Site supervisor

Project Preparation

  • Oversee multiple project sites concurrently and provide support to Construction Superintendent, Site supervisor & Operation Manager as needed

  • Develop project Budget 0 and conduct contractual reviews

  • Liaise with the Design Department and manage all project documents (HSE, Method statement, BC one call)

  • Ensure Construction Superintendent and Site supervisor is briefed on site particulars

  • Confirm the ordering of Materials and Transport

  • Ensure site visits by the Construction Superintendent before mobilization

Project Supervision

  • Train EIT, share knowledge and experience

  • Validate design parameters at the beginning of each site

  • Attend client-requested meetings, serving as the main point of contact

  • Monitor project budget, profit and loss (P&L)

  • Coordinate all contractual aspects with the client

  • Submit client invoicing and supervise payment tracking with the accounting department

  • Submit site internal rentals to the Operations Manager and Yard/Equipment Manager

  • Oversee quality assurance processes

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with over 10 years of experience in Ground Improvement

  • Continuous improvement attitude, with well-developed critical thinking skills and mental agility

  • Ability to read and understand drawings/specifications

  • Proficient in meeting tight deadlines and schedules while prioritizing safety and profitability

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Quick decision-making ability for the safe and profitable advancement of projects

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or another relevant degree
