As Design and Technical Manager, your main responsibilities are:

Missions and Responsabilities

Design Management 

  • Assisting in the preparation of bid submission, prepare and manage the risk matrix, as well as provide support on an ad hoc basis.

  • Implement and comply with MENARD CANADA management, safety, quality and environmental system

  • Liaise and develop relationship with operational team, projects managers and clients when required

  • Attend and contribute in design workshops or lunch & Learned sessions with MENARD CANADA team and clients

  • Check conformity of design and shop drawings with the client’s requirements and specification and contract conditions

  • Timely preparation of various reports (agendas, meeting notes, minutes, etc.)

  • Prepare technical papers with Design Team

  • Co-ordinate interfaces between Design Assist packages and areas designed by the Architect/Engineer

Sales Management

  • Correspond with clients to understand project requirements and gather relevant project information

  • Work with the Menard Canada Engineering team to perform feasibility analysis and develop ground improvement programs

  • Perform project cost estimating

  • Draft written proposals / offers

  • Draft / develop execution, quality control and environmental management plans

  • Answer queries from clients and attend tender meetings

  • Follow the development of potential projects to analysis market trends

  • Responsible for promoting the company to current and future clients

  • Prepares and maintains an action plan for the continuous development of the branch office

  • Develop and approve budgets according to the reporting duties within the Group

Documentation and Reporting 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports, schedules, and meeting minutes

  • Generate daily project status reports for communication with stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering other relevant degree

  • Proven working experience in Ground Improvement or at a management level

  • Proven experience in technical project management

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Salaire : 130k$
