Our Culture and Commitment to Safety for Everyone
Safety is our number one priority, ahead of anything else. This culture of safety is embedded in the way we work every day. From our project sites to our administrative offices, the goal is to keep our employees, sub-contractors, and clients as safe as possible and work to maintain an injury-free workplace, wherever they may be. Here at Menard Canada, there is no such thing as a “minor” injury; we continually strive to prevent all workplace injuries, no matter what they may be.
The Home Safe™ Commitment
We are committed at all levels to ensuring that every one of our employees stays safe and free of injury, ensuring that they get home safely to their loved ones at the end of every workday. Our goal every day is to have zero-incident workplaces where individuals not only feel safe but are safe. We work to achieve all these goals by:
- Inspecting all workspaces thoroughly and regularly
- Ensuring that all employees are continuously trained in Health & Safety
- Keeping an open dialogue regarding safety with employees
- Recording and investigating all safety incidents
- Learning from any safety incidents that occur
- Making improving health and safety a key part of our everyday business
Safety is much more than creating safety documentation and procedures; it’s ingrained in what we do every day and helps to ensure that everyone goes home safely and injury-free. Safety doesn’t happen by chance; it takes a company that promotes individuals looking out for themselves and each other every day. Menard Canada is proud to say that we consider nothing that we do every day important enough to warrant injury to anyone who works for us or that we work with.
We are proud to be a COR™ certified company and work hard to ensure that we maintain the very highest safety standards for all our regional job sites and offices across Canada. As a safety-centric company, it’s our priority to constantly review and improve our safety policies for the betterment and safety of everyone who works for us and with us.
We invite other companies and individuals to help us in promoting a safer workplace for everyone.
