Void Filling

Void Filling is used to avoid the development of settlement, or potential foundation failure, attributed to the collapse or development of underground voids. The process involves drilling into the cavity then pumping grout to either fill the void in part or in full as the design demands. It is a frequent requirement in urban areas, where new developments are burdened with the need to backfill beneath building footprints in order to eliminate the risk of structural damage due to the migration of the void to the surface. This type of solution, through grouting and jet grouting techniques, fits very well into the range of activities offered by Menard Canada, with its range of drilling rigs and its experience in designing purpose specific backfill materials to accommodate different design requirements and achieve economic solutions.
